Skip the ceremony and start the party! Wedding Banned is a musical experience, a show, an event and something you will not forget. Like a bat out of hell from Gas City, In., Wedding Banned has become the hottest party in the Midwest; playing all your favorite hits from the 80's, 90's and beyond. Wedding Banned picks two members from the audience to become the "bride" and "groom" and turns every show into the ultimate wedding reception. Whether it's the bride and groom on stage during the garter toss, or beautiful ladies from the audience rocking with the band, you can throw the rules of a traditional rock show out the window. If you want to have one of those, “you should have been there nights,” come and see Wedding Banned!

Wedding Banned has worked with clients such as: Star Events, Chicago Special Events, Taste of Chicago, Easter Seals, Taste of Lombard, The City of Peoria, Lisle Eyes to the Sky Fest, Palatine Fest, Durty Nellie's, 115 Bourbon Street, Joe's on Weed St., The Cubby Bear and Blue Chip Casino to name a few. Wedding Banned will cater their show, from mild to wild, to your event. Wedding Banned plays corporate events, weddings, street festivals, major clubs and wants to help make your event or show as successful as possible.

What people who have Wedding Banned play their Wedding say:

Lary Grimaldi:  This is easy. BEST. WEDDING. EVER. We will relive it at every street fest we can get to.

Michelle Lauer: Wedding Banned has such a wild reputation; we had only seen their club show. They did exactly what we wanted, a “G” rated show until the kids left, lol. Hire them, it was the highlight of the night!

Review of Andersonvillle Midsommar Fest 2010: "There were over 50 different performances throughout the weekend, so it was difficult to catch all of them. However, one band stood out among the rest of the crowd: Wedding Banned. The highlight of the concert was front man and lead singer Mayor Manaconda, who regularly takes swigs from a bottle of Jack Daniels between songs and never passes up an opportunity to remind the crowd how drunk he is. He knows how to make the audience laugh, and his antics ensure that everyone in the crowd is having fun watching the band. Manaconda’s monologues between each song give the band a memorable personality. "
JARRED TROST, The Chicago Blog (Jun 15, 2010)

“One of their goals was to play some of the major clubs in the Chicagoland area; they have now played and sold out all of these clubs. It is a fantastic accomplishment to have 1,000 people come to see them play. They started with a free show and are now one of the largest drawing cover bands in the area."
Courtenay Stewart, Bar Life Magazine (Jun 24, 2010)

"Wedding Banned got their start 5 years ago. They wanted  to create an interactive show that would constantly evolve. The characters, bride and groom, and songs change with every show. They played their first show for free at the Pontiac Café (now known as the Big Star in Wicker Park.) Although they had never played, word of mouth resulted in a capacity crowd. After one show they were signed by Duff Entertainment and a month later they performed at the biggest fest in the city, Retro on Roscoe. They have played Retro on Roscoe every year since, moving  from openers to headliners.”
